Primer
for particle boards
Areas of application
- For indoor use.
- For dry areas and areas subject to moderate moisture conditions (a bonded waterproofing layer with PCI Lastogum must be additionally applied in wet areas such as private showers and bathrooms).
- For walls and floors in the living area: kitchen, bathroom, WC, entrance hall, loft conversion, etc.
- Moisture regulator for particle boards (quality V 100), wooden floorboards, OSB boards, plasterboards and gypsum fibre boards.
- Protective coating for cut edges of particle boards to reduce deformations caused by penetration of moisture.
- Deformations caused by moisture are prevented by coating the dry particle board all over.
- Primer for particle boards before laying tiles with PCI tile adhesives (see table on page 3).
- Primer regulating the water vapour for cementitious substrates (e.g. concrete floor in swimming pools) as well as for FERMACELL Powerpanel SE boards.
- Primer regulating the water vapour for use on plastered insulation boards in the interior to prevent condensed water forming.
Product features

- High μ-value, thus preventing penetration of moisture and deformations of the substrate.
- Primer regulating the water vapour for use on particle boards. Tiles can be subsequently laid with PCI tile adhesives (see table).

This consumption calculation included in the program contains approximate values based on experiences which might considerably vary upwards and also downwards depending on the structure of substrate, type of tiles, different profiles on the reverse sides, type of tiling tools, work method a.o. Calculations are therefore not allowed to be based on these values. In case of larger projects we recommend to assess the consumption by making a trial surface. Applications in the combined method (buttering-floating) increase the consumption by approx. 20 to 25%. In case of powder products the data relate to the consumption of dry powder for easier calculation of the material requirement.
