Sturdy glass fiber mats for reinforcing floors
Our PCI glass fiber mats are recommended for reinforcing floors and substrates. The non-woven fibers are soaked with binder which means that the mats can be rolled for transportation and storage without any damage. If you need to seal cracks or dummy joints in the substrate at the same time as leveling the ground, the fiber glass mats PCI Armiermatte GFS and PCI Armiermatte GFM are the ideal solution.
They can be easily installed and completely surrounded by the leveling compound. The advantage of this approach is that it is no longer necessary to provide a friction-locked seal for cracks and that additional work and time can be saved.

The PCI products: GFM and GFS glass fiber reinforcement mats
The PCI range includes two different types of glass fiber reinforcement mats, GFM (based on a tangled mesh structure) and GFS (with the fibers arranged in parallel). The first variant is suitable for cracks with a maximum width of 3 mm while the second variant can also be used for cracks with a width of up to 5 mm. The reinforcement mats can not only be used for bridging existing cracks.
They can also be used as a precaution on substrates which are exposed to crack hazards and slight vibration. The alkali-resistant mats are easy to install and ensure high reliability.

Glass fiber mats - the optimum addition to PCI floor leveling compounds
The PCI glass fiber mats can be combined with a wide variety of leveling compounds from our product portfolio and are also compatible with each other. When using these mats it is essential to ensure that the substrate is properly prepared for the floor leveling compound which is to be used. If reinforcement is to be provided across cracks with widths of more than 3 mm combined with significant movement in the soil, it is recommended to use both GFS and GFM reinforcement mats.
The GFS mats are positioned directly over the cracks and the GFM mats are then installed over a large area over the first layer. Finally, the leveling compound is applied. On wooden substrates, the minimum thickness should be 10 mm.
