aa. Newsletter registration

If you register for the newsletter and agree to receive the newsletter and the processing of your email address for this purpose, you will be asked to provide your email address, title, first name and last name. Optionally, you can also specify the industry to which you belong. The following data is also stored at the time of registration: date and time of registration, IP address of the accessing computer. 

We use this data to send you newsletters on a regular basis. Providing information in the newsletter registration form is voluntary. However, you will not receive any newsletters without providing the information marked as mandatory. 

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for sending newsletters is consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). To prove your consent, we also store your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (c) in conjunction with Art. 5 (1) (a), (2), Art. 7 (1) (fulfilment of a legal obligation) and on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In doing so, we pursue the legitimate interest of being able to prove that consent has been given. 

bb. Contact form

If you use our contact form, you can provide the following personal data about yourself: subject of your request, title, first name, last name, e-mail address, company, content of any uploaded files, PCI product, content of your message. Your request, your first name, your last name, your e-mail address and your message are mandatory details (see * marking) that we require in order to process your contact request. The remaining information is voluntary.

The purpose of processing your data is to receive and process enquiries, complaints and other feedback.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in pursuing the aforementioned purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). We may also be obliged to disclose your data at the request of government agencies (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).

cc. Technical chat (only in German version)

On our website, we offer you the option of using a live chat with one of our employees as an information and contact channel (only for German-speaking users). If you contact us via the technical chat, we receive and process the following data: your role (private builder, commercial craftsman, dealer, planner/architect) as well as your request or question and additional voluntary information, such as first name, surname and e-mail address. 

The purpose of processing your data is to process your enquiry and to check the quality of our responses (quality management). 

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in pursuing the aforementioned purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If we already have a contractual relationship with you, this is also the legal basis (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). We may also be obliged to disclose your data at the request of government agencies (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).

dd. Ordering/sending advertising gifts

We also process your personal data for the purpose of sending advertising gifts when you order independently via our websites and landing pages (e.g. PCI solution cards). If you wish to receive advertising gifts, we need the information requested in the respective input mask. These are usually: title, first name, last name, company, address, ZIP code, city, country, email address, industry. In return for receiving the advertising gifts, you agree to receive newsletters for the respective marketing campaign. In this respect, I consent to PCI Augsburg GmbH, Piccardstraße 11, 86159 Augsburg, processing my e-mail address and sending me information about the current campaign by e-mail. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending the advertising gifts is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

In addition to the personal data that you actively provide, further information from you is automatically collected, processed and stored when you access the website – possibly for technical reasons. 

aa. Provision of our website and creation of server log files 

The following personal data is processed for the purpose of providing our website: the IP address of your computer, host name of the accessing computer, operating system used, information about your browser (browser type and version), the website you were on before you were redirected to our website, the URL or file that was requested, the date and time of your visit,  the amount of data transferred, status information, such as error messages, specific information about the device used to access the website, including model, operating system, IP address, language, operator information and similar information. 

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the provision of the website. 

We process your personal data for the purposes of statistical analysis, improving the website, system security (e.g. preventing misuse) and error diagnosis. In doing so, we record information about each of your accesses to the server on which this website is located (so-called server log files). Your personal data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, your operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. 

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the pursuit of the stated purpose. If it is necessary to disclose your personal data to government agencies at their request, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. 

The following recipients may have access to your personal data: our hosting provider, internal departments, external technical support service providers, government agencies on request.

PCI does not sell personal data. 

3.  Recipient 

In principle, only those departments within our company and the employees working there have access to your personal data that absolutely require such access to fulfill their functions or tasks. 

We only pass on your personal data to external recipients if there is a legal justification for doing so or if you have consented to this. External recipients may be: 

a. Transfer to service providers 

PCI uses external service providers who act as processors for PCI to provide certain services to PCI, such as website service providers, marketing service providers, or IT support service providers. In providing such services, the external service providers may have access to and/or process your personal data. 

These external service providers are subject to contractual obligations to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data and to process the personal data only in accordance with our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. 

b. Other recipients 

Some of our colleagues who administer the website and provide IT services may be employees of our group companies. In managing the website, our colleagues may have access to and/or process your personal data. In these cases, the respective group company acts as our processor. 

The respective transfer of your personal data is based on our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests are the transfer of personal data within the group of companies for internal administrative and support purposes. Access is limited to employees who only need to have the necessary knowledge. 

PCI may also transfer your personal information to law enforcement agencies, government agencies, legal advisors, and external consultants in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Some of the recipients to whom personal data is transferred may be located in third countries outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area. For some countries in which recipients are based, adequacy decisions have been issued by the EU Commission. The transfer of data to Switzerland is legitimized on the basis of an adequacy decision of the EU Commission. 5. What rights do you have and how can you assert your rights? 

If you have given your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with future effect. Such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal of consent. 

Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to access, rectification of your personal data, erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing of your personal data, data portability and the right to object to the processing of your personal data. 6.  How long do we keep your personal data? 

Your personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to provide the requested services. We also delete your personal data when PCI no longer needs to use it to comply with contractual or legal obligations, or when the data is no longer necessary for our legitimate interests and no other legal basis for processing the data applies. We will remove them from our systems and records unless we need to retain your data, including personal data, to comply with legal or regulatory obligations to which PCI is subject, such as legal retention periods.

2.       Analysis of our social media channels 

To analyze our social media channels, we use the tool "Fanpage Karma".

Fanpage Karma uses the access to the data from Facebook, YouTube and Instagram that we share exclusively to request extended statistics via the interfaces, such as the reach of our posts, the number of views of our videos or the development of our subscriber numbers[CF1] . The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). In doing so, we pursue the legitimate interest of making our social media accounts more user-friendly and further developing our services and products. The recipients of your data are the employees of our marketing department, our sub-processor uphill GmbH, as well as the external agency: zwetschke GmbH & Co. KG, Proviantbachstraße 1 1/2, 86153 Augsburg, Germany for the administration of our profile. 

3. Implementation of competitions 

If you take part in one of our competitions via our social media channels, we will also process your data for the purpose of conducting the respective competition. The purpose of the processing of personal data is to determine the winner(s) as well as to announce them and draw the prizes. For this purpose, the names of the users of those who participate in the competition are first stored and the winners are drawn from them. We will then announce the winners and approach them to find out their contact details (name, e-mail address, postal address) and send the prizes. For this purpose, we may share your contact details with contracted service providers who will send the goods, depending on the case. 

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We process your data in order to be able to determine and announce the winner of the competition and to be able to play out the corresponding prizes (implementation of the competition).
