PCI system solutions for the refurbishment of floors for direct use

The focus of the annual campaign "PCI comes up trumps - how winners renovate" is on various system solutions with harmonized products for renovation, refurbishment and modernization. Craftspeople benefit from reliable complete solutions with which even demanding refurbishment tasks can be completed easily and reliably. The fourth focus of the annual campaign is the refurbishment of floors for direct use in the interior and exterior. This includes the refurbishment of commercial floors that are exposed to high mechanical loads - such as warehouses and workshops - and floor surfaces in private rooms as well as the refurbishment of garage and balcony floors.

System of floor coatings for direct use
This system is for direct use in dry indoor areas. It is particularly suitable for areas subject to heavy traffic, e.g. high traffic loads, and ensures a reliable, load-bearing and wear-resistant substrate. Thanks to the self-leveling properties, the products can be applied with little effort. Due to the fact that an additional top layer is not necessary, craftspeople save both time and money on the construction site. Sealing with PCI Zemtec Top provides additional surface protection.

• Primer: PCI Gisogrund 404 (special adhesive primer for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates)
• Floor leveling: PCI Zemtec 1K (cement floor leveling for residential and commercial construction), alternatively PCI Zemtec 180 (flowable screed ready-mixed mortar for directly usable cement screeds)
• Top sealing: PCI Zemtec Top (2-component aqueous PU sealing for PCI Zemtec floors)

Refurbishment of garages and outdoor floors
Whether due to mechanical stress from traffic, heat and frost, moisture, de-icing salt or oil deposits - unsealed screed or concrete floors inevitably suffer damage over time.

This system allows the renovated floor to be used directly in outdoor areas exposed to weather conditions as well as in temporarily damp or wet indoor areas. Thanks to its resistance to weathering, de-icing salt and permanent moisture, it is particularly suitable for permanent outdoor use. It can be used on slopes of up to 2 %, the gradient is maintained. With this system solution, craftspeople also benefit from time and cost savings on the construction site as no additional top layer is required. If a separate surface protection is required, PCI Zemtec Protect can be used for impregnation which also makes cleaning easier. This system solution does not require the use of reactive resins and is therefore sustainable.
