PCI Polyfix plus Fluid – the flowable quick-setting cement mortar for quick work above and below ground
Easy and quick processing for the construction site when time is a factor
28.04.2022
With PCI Polyfix plus Fluid, PCI Augsburg GmbH is launching a new quick-setting cement mortar which, thanks to its particularly good flow properties, is easy to work with, sets very quickly and hardens without cracks. PCI Polyfix plus Fluid is waterproof, weatherproof and resistant to de-icing salt and is suitable for a wide range of applications in structural and civil engineering, both indoors and outdoors. Craftsmen benefit from the convenient processing and time savings on the construction site.
The new flowable and very quick-setting PCI Polyfix plus Fluid is recommended for the convenient and quick setting, lifting and installation of manhole rings, frames and covers as well as road drains and grids, but also for anchoring and fastening steel parts and bolts.
PCI Polyfix plus Fluid has particularly good flow properties and is easy and creamy to work with. The quick-setting cement mortar penetrates even the smallest cavities and hardens without cracks within a very short time, even without vibration. A primer or bonding agent is not necessary. Its temperature-independent hardening between +5 °C and +30 °C guarantees short closure times and the best planning. The formwork can be removed after just 10 minutes, and the construction site is open to traffic after another 30 minutes. After 2 hours, the product can be driven on again without restrictions.
Manhole covers in particular are constantly exposed to high stresses: constant dynamic loads and changing weather conditions with frost or freeze-de-icing salt attacks. PCI Polyfix plus Fluid scores with its water resistance as well as its resistance to weathering and freeze-de-icing salt. The new quick-setting cement mortar is also chloride free, so it does not cause any corrosion on steel, and is suitable for layer thicknesses of 5 - 50 mm. The new product is certified according to EN 1504-3 class R3 and meets both the requirements of the Graubünden Civil Engineering Office and those for WW shaft head mortar according to DIN 19573.
“Whether new construction or refurbishment – craftsmen are also faced with increasing time pressure in structural and civil engineering. If, for example, a manhole ring in the middle of a large main traffic artery has to be refurbished, the construction site must not hold up traffic for long," explains Stephan Tschernek, Head of Marketing at the PCI Group. "The new PCI Polyfix plus Fluid is the ideal choice for this challenge, because thanks to the fast and temperature-independent hardening, the closure times are short and easy to plan."
