PCI Augsburg GmbH: Host of the second networking meeting "Blue City - Climate Pact of Augsburg’s Economy"

As one of Augsburg's major business enterprises, PCI Augsburg GmbH participates in the "Blue City – Climate Pact of Augsburg’s Economy” which was launched by the Augsburg City Economic Department as part of its sustainability activities. The second networking meeting took place on July 5, 2023 at the company's headquarters. Under the motto "Mobility as a milestone towards climate neutrality", around 40 participants discussed possible solutions for a climate-neutral mobile future in Augsburg.
The Blue City Climate Pact is a joint project launched in 2022 with which the Augsburg economy and the city of Augsburg are taking responsibility for climate protection. This is supported by seven partners which include, for example, the Swabian Chamber of Crafts or Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH. The aim of the long-term joint project is to form joint initiatives and networks in order to support each other and jointly set out for climate neutrality.
After the first networking meeting of the Blue City Climate Pact on March 9, 2023 at the Technology Center Augsburg, the second meeting took place on July 5, 2023 at the headquarters of PCI Augsburg GmbH in Augsburg.
The participants learned about various mobility projects of Augsburg's industrial companies and partners of the Climate Pact in several best-practice presentations. The topics were wide-ranging from vehicle fleet electrification to the Deutschlandticket (public transport ticket for all local public transport valid throughout Germany) and home office to more climate-friendly ship engines. Initial steps for a mobility concept were developed and presented in several working groups.
The previous events of the Augsburg Climate Pact were only the prelude to a series of further meetings. The Augsburg Business Climate Pact is a joint project and will continue to develop together with the city, the cooperation partners and the companies.
